Lost or Stolen Laptop or Phone

Report within 1 hour by calling ext. 4400. IT locks the device, revokes sessions and can remote-wipe through Intune. Devices are encrypted (BitLocker). File a police or airline report for stolen devices.

  1. Call IT on ext. 4400 (or the after-hours line) as soon as you notice.
  2. IT revokes your sessions, resets your password, and locks or wipes the device through Intune.
  3. Laptops are BitLocker-encrypted; tell IT what data was on it (customer drawings, ITAR-controlled data).
  4. For theft, file a police report. For airport losses, also file with the airline/TSA lost and found.
